Manufactured with 100% virgin ethylene glycol. Never blended with other glycol streams (and do not contain recycled glycol) as a means of ensuring maximum fluid lifetime. Dow fluids are specially formulated with heavy-duty industrial inhibitor packages that prevent corrosion. The inhibitors are easily maintained, long lasting and replenishable, which means intervals between fluid changeouts are extended and fluid expense is minimized.
Ideal choice for many industrial application due to lower viscosity than Propylene Glycol Based heat Transfer Fluids.
DOWTHERM™ SR-1 Heat Transfer Fluid, Dyed
DOWTHERM™ SR-1 heat transfer fluid is a formulation of 95.5 weight percent ethylene glycol and a specially designed package of industrial corrosion inhibitors. The fluid is dyed fluorescent pink for leak detection purposes. Solutions in water provide freeze protection to below -50°C and burst protection to below -73°C.
